At SIMA LABS, we utilize a sophisticated Gas Chromatography (GC) system integrated with both a Headspace Sampler and a Purge and Trap (P&T) unit, offering unmatched precision in the analysis of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds (VOCs and SVOCs). The Headspace Sampler facilitates automated sampling of vapors from solid or liquid samples without direct injection, ensuring minimal contamination and high reproducibility. The Purge and Trap module is specifically designed for aqueous matrices, concentrating trace-level volatiles by purging them with inert gas and trapping them on a sorbent material, which is then thermally desorbed into the GC for analysis. This combined setup enables high-throughput, ultra-sensitive testing in compliance with global regulatory standards.

Gas Chromatography (GC) equipped with Headspace Sampler and Purge & Trap is a highly sensitive analytical technique widely used in pharmaceutical, environmental, food, forensics, and chemical industries. It enables accurate detection and quantification of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds in complex matrices—supporting quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and safety through automated, contamination-free sample introduction from solids, liquids, and aqueous samples.
Headspace sampling is ideal for volatile compounds in the vapor phase above solid or liquid samples. Purge & Trap is used for aqueous samples requiring ultra-trace detection of VOCs.
Our GC system can detect compounds down to parts-per-billion (ppb) or even sub-ppb levels, depending on the matrix and compound.
Yes, all our testing methods follow validated protocols aligned with EPA, ICH Q3C, USP, and other international standards.
We serve a wide range of sectors including pharmaceuticals, environment, food & beverage, packaging, forensic science, and industrial hygiene.
