SIMA LABS offers advanced Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) Systems, a modern variation of the conventional activated sludge process. In this process, a single reaction chamber serves both as a biological reactor and a sedimentation tank. Unlike continuous-flow reactors, the SBR operates in batch cycles—filling, reacting, settling, and decanting, idling. During the filling phase, decomposition begins under anaerobic or anoxic conditions, followed by the reaction phase where aeration occurs, with optional unventilated phases depending on treatment objectives. In the sedimentation phase, activated sludge settles, forming a clear water layer that is then decanted, completing the cycle. Since biological treatment and sedimentation occur sequentially within the same tank, the need for a separate secondary sedimentation unit is eliminated. SIMA LABS designs SBR systems to deliver reliable, space-efficient, and cost-effective wastewater treatment solutions tailored to industrial and municipal applications.
